Original painting. Date of creation: 2013

The painting depicts an Indian woman in a dark sari, holding a large red earthenware jug in her hands. I saw her when she entered the yard. The first thing I saw was the jug, a huge red explosion against her greenish house. Then I already noticed how fragile she was and, most importantly, what sad eyes she had. From this impression, an etude was born, and already from this etude - this artwork which means a lot to me!

This picture was also painted during my trip to India. I bought a canvas and a stretcher from a local market and started painting right away. Therefore, when buying a painting, you have a chance to touch the real Indian aesthetics - despite the seeming unpretentiousness of the materials, the painting is stretched on a stretcher and executed flawlessly.
